After more years than I care to remember, my yearly visits to optometrist resulted in paying way over $500 a year for new lenses and exams; I even brought frames to make it cheaper. But with the first time using VSP I paid less than $100 and when I went to pick up my new glasses, I bought frames (for next time) for FREE! Before, I would cringe to visit because of the cost being so high. Now I look forward to going and seeing how much I save.
I had VSP with my insurance when I worked. I retired and eye care was no longer a part of my insurance. VSP was so good before so I bought an individual policy. It is a very good value.
I was able to see an ophthalmologist ASAP. I was going to have a cornea transplant but with VSP I went to my preferred ophthalmologist and specialists. I was treated and I did not have to have a cornea transplant.
Getting a VSP EYE INSURANCE is the best thing I did. I retired and get a small $$$ from Medicare and eye glasses from them. Also my Health insurance doesn't cover eyeglasses either & my out of pocket expenses was $500+ every 2 years then I was told by eye doctor about VSP so I checked into it and signed up best thing I could ever done. My eye glasses were under $200 so I'm very happy. I will keep telling everyone I know about VSP.

I like having VSP. The cost per month is reasonable and it saves me a great amount on my annual visits and annual contact lens purchases. I retired well before being eligible for any other health plan and having VSP was a way to make sure I had something to cover my eye health. Having worn glasses/contacts for years now, I needed something and VSP is very reasonable and has great doctors in their networks.
VSP has saved me money, I don't usually get regular lenses. My prescription is thick lense. Thanks to VSP, I can get my glasses with all of the bells and whistles and the glasses are made to look thin, which I do so appreciate.

I've been using VSP now for about 5 or 6 years and they've been absolutely amazing. I've been wearing glasses for 35 years and the past years with VSP has changed everything for my eyes. I didn't know what to expect with access to Optometrist and was beyond surprised with the Optometrist in their network. As a matter of fact, the last two Optometrist I've had while using VSP has been the greatest level of care and diagnosis in the past 35 years of wearing glasses. I have an astigmatism and keratoeonus, so the lenses I need are special and more expensive than the average lens. VSP allows me to get the best lenses available so I can see as clear as possible at an affordable price. I've recommended VSP to several friends and they started using them and couldn't be happier.

Like another reviewer, I was skeptical when an optometrist recommended VSP coverage. I asked him what the catch was, and he said there wasn’t a catch. After years of paying high prices for necessary eyewear, I decided I would try it for a year, and this small investment saved me about $500 right off the bat! I was so happy, I purchased VSP coverage for another family and we just renewed our plans. My employer does offer coverage, but it does not compare to VSP. I highly recommend this coverage to anyone, whether they need prescription eyewear or not.

I retired over two years ago and lost my vision plan. I could have kept it; however, the cost was too much for the substandard policy. I did my research, and found VSP. The coverage is topnotch, and I could not ask for any better. The greatest perk is the cost of the plan. Now, my fiance and I have the same coverage, and could not be happier.
